SLEDGING DAY TRIPS ON THE TOBOGGAN SLOPES IN THE DOLOMITES

Sometimes, particularly when skiing in a large group or family, skiing all day every day can be quite taxing. Time then, for some time out that will have you crying with laughter and whooping with joy like a small child.

WowSkiTours organises half day sledging trips, which take place at the purpose built sledging run through the trees in one of the nearby villages. Armed with your traditional wooden toboggan, either alone or two up, you set off intrepidly towards the first corner.

With hairpin bends and long descents, you can get up quite a speed, but it’s the crashes of the others, the shrieks as you fall off, the wipe outs and cheers of the final race to the finish that will have you doubled up at the end of the day.
