Fear not, what you need is a WowSkiTours ski touring day. For the uninitiated, ski touring involves the use of ‘skins’ stuck to the base of special touring skis – these can be rented from our rental outlets – allowing you to walk up mountains, as well as skiing down. Enter ski freedom, the ability to walk away from any crowds and immerse yourself in the true peace and spectacular scenery that the Dolomites offer.

Under the watchful eye of our Father and Son IFMGA Mountain guide team, you’ll be given instruction on how to use your ski equipment, how to walk up the mountains, and your technique will be assessed. Then you’ll be taken off the beaten track, up gentle and not so gentle inclines, into valleys and canyons, on an off piste odyssey where you’ll feel like you are the only person left in the vast landscape surrounding you.

Not for the faint hearted, ski touring requires a good ski technique and decent stamina, though most keen ski tourers often say that the powder curves of the final descent are the reward of satisfaction for the tiring but inspiring journey up.
